So, I underpacked a little

You would think that as a pretty seasoned traveler, I'd be a pro packer by now. Apparently not. Apparently I get SO excited at the idea of leaving London to go South that I immediately overreact and think sundresses, shorts, and sleeveless shirts are ALL I'll need.

What I'm saying is that's it's perfectly comfortable temperatures here in Malta, but it's still MARCH, and that the one sweater and pair of jeans I brought are getting a LOT of use. Ah well. Better luck next time!

With that said, another beautiful day yesterday, which I'll touch on and save the fulsome recap for later, due to - again - an early start today, pre-adventure.

So yesterday we visited the "Silent City" of Mdina, which would would already be exciting on its own, but was REALLY exciting because OMG, YOU GUYS, THIS IS WHERE THEY FILMED SEASON ONE OF KING'S LANDING ON GAME OF THRONES. And I was seeing Lannisters and Starks and Baratheons and Greyjoys and Boltons EVERYWHERE! Too cool.

Then we headed over to visit the ancient temples of Hagar Qim and Mnajdra, some of the oldest manmade structures still in existence today. Followed by a photo stop at the Blue Grotto, which is a massive archway over the sea, and it's preeeeeetty.

Then we drove to the old (and adorable) fishing village of Marsaxlokk, to enjoy a fish dinner and the Easter strung lights on the cathedral that made it feel like Christmas.

Then for an early bedtime, because early to bed, early to rise and all that! Today we are catching the ferry for a full day on the island of Gozo. Where they ALSO filmed Game of Thrones. So, you know, I'm pretty excited.

Obligatory emoji time. :-) :-) :-)
