Yoga heaven

I've been posting a lot about yoga recently, so you'll have to indulge me, but today I was all about the OM Yoga Show in London. It's a wonderful, enormous, overwhelmingly cool exhibition of workshops, classes, lectures, demonstrations, food, and shopping, held at the iconic Alexandra Palace high above the city.

It was even more wonderful, because today was the first official reunion with my friends from Yoga Teacher Training. I hadn't seen most of them since graduation nearly three months ago, and we fell right back into things like no time had passed.

And the show! I was like a kid in a candy store, except the candy was healthy, too! I mean, the very first thing I bought was a bar of gluten-free chocolate. Then we took a free class. Had a fresh-pressed juice. Wandered around admiring clothes and mats and props. Took silly pictures to be the new face of Om Yoga & Lifestyle magazine. (See below - note that I am not a serious contender.)

I came away from the show six hours later, weighed down like some sort of yogic mule with retreat brochures and wellness pamphlets, an outfit or two, and a series of massages to heal my Qi. I just loved the whole thing. I even texted my boyfriend: "I'm in yoga heaven and I'm SO HAPPY right now!!!"

Maybe one day I'll have my own booth in a venue like this one. You never know.

Crazier things have happened in this topsy turvy world.
